What We Believe...

The Bible is our sole authority in all matters of faith and practice. The following is a summary of what we believe according to the Bible:

We believe in the supernatural inspiration of the Bible.
We believe the Authorized King James Version Old and New Testaments are the Word of God kept intact for English-speaking peoples by way of God’s divine providence and work of preservation.  The 66 books of the Bible are together the complete, preserved, inerrant Word of God.

We believe there is one, and only one, living and true God;
 and that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons: the Father (Jehovah), the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection, who execute distinct, but harmonious offices.

We believe Jesus Christ, who was preexistent in the Godhead from eternity past, was made flesh and in a miraculous manner was born of a virgin.  We believe that Jesus laid down his life in a vicarious death on the cross, for the atonement of man’s sins.  He died, was buried, and by His power bodily rose for the dead three days later.

We believe that salvation is offered freely by Jesus Christ to all people without reservation.  This salvation is only by grace through faith, and a personal repentance from sin must be present for true salvation to be possible.  Once an individual has been saved, he has received eternal life, and can never lose it.

We believe in the pre-tribulational Rapture of all the redeemed. When the Tribulation Period culminates with the Battle of Armageddon, Jesus Christ will physically return to the earth and establish His Millennial Kingdom.

We believe the New Testament church is a local, visible, autonomous assembly of baptized believers. It is an institution which Jesus Christ established during His earthly ministry, prior to the events of Acts 2 and the Day of Pentecost. The true mission of the church is found in the Great Commission.

We believe the ordinance of baptism is the immersion in water of a believer. The authority to baptize lies in the local church, and identifies a believer with the doctrine of that church.

We believe that in the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper, after solemn self-examination, and by the use of unleavened bread and the unfermented fruit of the vine, the members only of a given Baptist church are to commemorate together the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ
